Koba Personality vs. Caesar Personality
by Gaspar Yanga August 6, 2014
This is not going to be some weird or spooky analysis but I remember watching an Amos N Wilson lecture and him mentioning the movie Planet of the Apes. I never had seen the movie but Wilson, a psychologist, said in many ways that movie represented Europeans worse fear about Africans. ( I know many may be upset because its a movie about Apes) Wilson, stated that if the Apes began to wake up, they would dominate the world, and Wilson drew the analogy to African people, saying that if we mentally woke up we would take over the world. I agreed with that statement and begin to look at the themes, personalities and overall story line of the updated version of the movie series.
I am not going to tell the entire movie but will discuss the main plot of the movie, and the personalities of two Apes, Koba and Caesar. Koba, was an ape who was tortured by scientist in their labs, as he was a before human trails, lab rat for corporations. Caesar, was a pet project of a scientist whom he lived with as the scientist was EXPERIMENTING a new drug on Caesar. Overall, Caesar, like the guy that used an experimental drug on him and viewed him as a GOOD HUMAN. This is a constant theme that is pushed through the film “GOOD HUMAN” vs. “BAD HUMAN”. This is done on purpose to sow that in the head of the viewers mind to manipulate the consciousness of it being GOOD WHITE PEOPLE vs. BAD WHITE PEOPLE whom mean well but just don’t any better.
In the begging of this movie, some scientist wander into the apes territory ( theme of White innocence) and have a dispute with the Apes, in which one Ape is shot. Caesar, being the leader tells the people to leave and takes the injured Ape back home. Koba, having been abused by humans (Europeans), tells Caesar they should follow the humans back to where they are at. Koba, comes back and tells Caesar, that he believes they should attack the humans before they get stronger. Caesar, makes a snarky comment about how the only thing that Koba, learned from humans is hate. ( theme of seeking retribution against Europeans is wrong).
Koba, goes back into the humans camps, only to find they are stockpiled with WEAPONS. The innocent humans that Caesar loves so much has a army reserve of military grade weapons. Some of the humans go back to the Apes home, while Koba was gone, in order to seek Caesars approval to search for a dam which could power their city. Upon, rushing back to tell Caesar of this great potential threat of humans, Koba is furious to find out that that humans have been allowed back into the Apes territory, along with the human that shot an ape named Ash. Koba and Caesar fight before Koba can tell Caesar, that the humans are preparing to for some type of war with all the weapons.
Koba, comes up with this genius plan, he goes back to the human camp to steal a gun so he can use it to shoot Caesar and tell the Apes that a human shot Caesar at night and that they should attack the humans. Kobas brilliant plan works. Koba, shoots Caesar at night time while some of those humans are in camp and he runs to tell the other Apes, that humans shot Caeser. Well, during the Ape attack on the humans, Koba gives a command to kill this human to another ape, this Ape refuses, Koba pats him on the back, then drags him by the head and throws him off the ledge showing the other apes who is the king of the hill. Kobe, then arrest all those who are loyal to Caser and like humans. Koba is an example of supreme intelligence, military strategy and brilliance. He removes a weak leader with a brilliant plot. He then consolidates power through force (Mao style) and he units the Apes, around their Ape identity. Koba is the ultimate Ape Nationalist and Freedom Fighter. The only thing that Koba does not tolerate is softness for enemies, he considers that WEAKNESS.
Its a movie, a European movie, somehow this imbuka Caesar survives and topples the great Koba. The final scene of the movie is very telling of the mind of a imbuka. Caesar, in talking to the “GOOD HUMAN” (WHITE), says this ” Ape start war, Human will not forgive”. Caesar, blames his own people for the war. The humans created the experimental drug, the humans abused the apes giving them a reason to never trust them and the humans were trying to recolonize the world. Caesar, blames Koba and his people for starting a war that was caused by the humans (Whites). This of course is how the warped mind of the European is even in his movies and how he plants this false consciousness in others (mostly Black Christians). The writers actual ignore the history of the Apes and manipulates Caesar into this self hating, self loathing ape who has a soft spot in his heart for humans. Koba was punished in the movie for: 1. Never forgiving humans 2. Loyalty to his own kind and Caesar is made a hero for 1. Forgiving the Europeans 2. Seeing the good in all people.
I would recommend ACBN watch this film and then speak to a Negro/Imbuka about the film. An intelligent African person will love Koba. An imbuka will call Koba an evil man. I think for those who follow this blog this movie will illustrate the type of personality we need in order to gain ACBN liberation.
Sala Kahle!
Great analogy. I watched the film today based on your recommendation. Totally agree.

For the record, let me state Africans are NOT APES, but the relationship of the Apes to the Europeans are basically of their fear of non Europeans taking control.

Great review! You really hit the nail on the head. Koba was definitely the hero in this film. I saw this film with some friends and we were all rooting for Koba. He was a true nationalist. They have been telling us the apes represent us for years I these films. Even all the way back to the first Planet of The Apes back in 1968. A brainwashed negro will root for Ceasar no doubt. We as black people are taught to love our oppressors and give then the benefit of the doubt. We really need to wake up and see the deception we have bought into. They’re very slick with these films. But I see right through them.

Even if Koba killed his own people, became someone like Kim Jong Un or Mao, he was still the hero?
WOW!

Or became someone like George Washington or Abraham Lincoln?

Yes, he is as much a hero as any White man who consolidated power.

I don’t think you analyzed the film enough. You need to go back and watch it. You didn’t fully understand the Koba character. You sound a bit confused to me.

Mao and Kim Jong Un liberated and free their people. You sound like a mentally ill White racist. I have tremendous respect of Mao and North Korea.

I admit that I may see things in black-and-white. But eventually, Koba becomes a tyrant. He uses his power the way he wants. Let’s say that the war between ape and human is necessary. What will happen when the colony gets help from outside? Although it’s only small possibility, what will happen if the population of the apes decrease because the war or a plague? In the end of the day, Koba’s war is not solely about “showing the human”, it’s also about control and avenge his pride.
You are crazy if you compare Koba with Washington and Lincoln. Washington and Lincoln were not tyrants. Each war that they created was necessary.

Washington mass murder of the Iraquois was not necessary, they were his allies and helped him beat France. Lincoln war vs South was not necessary.
Koba war on human is intelligent because the humans objective is to dominate the Apes. Koba studied the human. Washington and Lincoln were vicious Tyrants. Lincoln was willing to destroy the South for his own selfishness. And Washington was the most disgraceful spineless animal the world has ever seen.
Koba becomes the liberator of the Apes. He socially engineers out the weakness that Caesar had for their enemies. Koba was the true hero. Humans broke every treaty they made with Caesar. Caesar had a mulatto mentality. Koba had a devil may care !mentality that it takes the beat the evil White race!

Can you explain why Lincoln’s war isn’t necessary? Why the war between ape and human is necessary while Lincoln’s not? Even if Lincoln is selfish, no president before him went that far for Afro-American.
In the context of the film, I don’t think dominating the apes is the main objective for a damn small colony. Even the ambitious Hermione Granger wouldn’t dream of it. Please, the humans understand that they are outnumbered by the apes for fuck’s sake.
Even if the apes are smart, none of them has profound understanding in technology, science, math, and engineering. So the apes’ victory won’t last very long.
I found it amusing that you haven’t mentioned Koba’s violence toward his own tribe.
Caesar’s main fault is that he has never been replaced.

So after giving Lincoln race 255 years of free labor. Lincoln Union in trouble and used Black soldiers to beat the South. Lincoln did something for the Africans? LOL You racist revisionist history is funny. Koba violence on Apes was for treason and not obeying his authority. Correct me if I am wrong but if you disobey direct orders from any Western governments is that not insubordination and treason? You are too ignorant to talk to.

Yes, directly killing one rebel without a cool head discussion is an indicator of a very good leader.
You are sick for actually justify Koba KILLED Ash while what Ash didn’t want to do was KILL a person. You are SICK.
Okay then, can you name one person who has big influence on Afro-American before Lincoln?

Lincoln had no influence on African people in the Americans. I doubt Lincoln was ever around Blacks. Ash disobeyed direct orders. He deserved to die. Koba was justified. Traitors must be dealt with. You’re White your psychology is different than mine and so is your version of history. I understand why you would not like Koba. But in reality Koba was just like Lincoln who wanted to kill Whites who did want to obey his authority. The Southern Whites had every right to seek self determination and to live as they saw fit. And once they refused to respect Lincoln he ordered them to be killed. I have no respect for Lincoln. Why you keep using his name is to psychologically to manipulate me. I don’t share your same version of history. You think like a slave owner. It’s in your DNA. How can you bash Koba but praise Lincoln who was responsible for the deaths of 500k people. Lincoln killed his own people to consolidate power. How is that any different from what Koba did? It’s not.

Southern Whites didn’t want to kill Northern Whites. They wanted to divide up America equally. Arent you sick for glorifying a murder like Lincoln. Lincoln was a evil and sick man. You talk about Mao…..Talk about the killing of Whites by other Whites during the civil war. You are a hypocrite and can’t justify your double standards.

And let the Southern do brutal things?
Whoa, Lincoln didn’t DIRECTLY “kill” the southern. He gave them an ultimatum. In which part Koba gave Ash an ultimatum? Even if Ash’s act is a “rebellion”, Ash didn’t try to take away Koba’s position or whatsoever.
Mr, in which part did I defend the “white”? In which part did I give an indication that I’m “white”? Congratulations, your conclusion shows your ability in deduction or being logical 😀
And you haven’t answered my question about a person before Lincoln.

The North burned down over 500 Black cities after the Civil War. You have had more anti Black race riots in the north. Mao and Kim Jong Un didn’t directly kill people either. So once again another hypocrisy on your parent. Lincoln never did anything. I answered your question. What does Lincoln a mass murderer have to do with African Americans? Your question made no sense, you are trying to manipulate me thinking I have the same view of Lincoln based upon revisionist history.

Your a psychotic person. Blacks are going to have to fight you people psychically one day.

“Directly” as in Koba killed Ash before Ash could properly defend himself, before they had logical discussion. Duh, i’m not that stupid to say Hitler killed Anne Frank with his own hands.
I don’t study Lincoln deeply so I can’t give any argument for your opinion. But he has big influence in “black” people history in USA. I don’t know whether he was “good” or “evil”, but I know he has big influence.
Whoever said i’m a psychopath? I’m a DSM-V.

Lincoln had no influence on African History in America. He had no influence at all. He was never around them. African had a huge influence on Lincoln their labor built the USA and they were the difference in his genocidal war vs his own people.
